Spicekick® Smoky Chili Recipe without Beans

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef stew meat, diced 1/4 to 1/2-inch

  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil (like avocado oil)

  • 1 packet (1.4 oz) Spicekick® Chili Seasoning Mix

  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika

  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can fire-roasted diced tomatoes

  • 2 cups beef broth

  • 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon masa harina (fine corn flour) 

  • 1/4 cup water

Directions

  1. In a pan over medium-high heat, add oil. When oil is shimmering, add beef to the pan and season with salt and pepper. Brown while stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes.

  2. Stir in the Spicekick seasoning and paprika.

  3. Add the tomatoes and beef broth.

  4. Simmer 2-3 hours.

  5. During the last 15 minutes of cooking: Whisk the masa harina into 1/4 cup water to make a slurry, then stir into the chili. Simmer until thickened. 

  6. Serve with shredded cheese, avocado, and lime wedges.
