Sloppy Joes Recipe (serves 4)


  • 1 pkg. Dash Dinners Spice Kit
  • 2 tsp. neutral oil, like vegetable, avocado, or canola
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 (6-oz) can tomato paste (or use half if you prefer less saucy)
  • 1 1/2 c. water (or 1 1/4 c. if using only 1/2 can tomato sauce 

   Serve with: whole-grain buns, sliced dill pickles



  1. Preheat large skillet on medium-high heat. Add oil.
  2. Add beef to the pan in a single layer. Brown undisturbed, about 5 minutes.
  3. Push the beef to one side of the pan. Reduce heat to medium.
  4. Add tomato paste to other side and spread out to heat it quickly. Break up beef pieces with flat-edged wooden spoon.
  5. Add seasoning and water.
  6. Simmer 5 minutes on low heat.


Ingredients: California dates (dates, gluten-free oat flour), onion flakes, spices, dehydrated red and green bell peppers, nutritional yeast flakes, salt, mushroom powder, sea salt, granulated garlic, apple cider vinegar powder, mushroom powder, celery flakes.
